Born in Zagreb in 1959, Illustrator and Graphic Designer in Vienna, Austria.

Markovic says it was clear from the start that he would study architecture, open up his office and marry an architect. Human effort is so straight – is his philosophy of life and his life almost ended just as straight – as an architect in Zagreb. But he moved away from the straight track – and commenced work for avant-garde theatres and a children's magazine. He started to create and discover pictures when rebuild his life in Vienna without knowing any German. His drawings thus came to express more than words. This is how his career as an illustrator began – for magazines, advertising agencies and publishers. His most important element of style is experiment.
