Massimo Giacon
Born 1961 in Padova.
Works as a designer and comic-strip artist in Milan.
Massimo Giacon is a first generation multimedia artist: From the early
eighties on he expresses his creativity through various media, from
›Electro Dada‹ of the now-defunct band ›Spirocheta Pergoli‹, to ›Bizarre
Rock‹ by the ever-riotous ›Nipoti del Faraone‹ (The Nephews of the
Pharao). From underground comics like ›Alter‹ and ›Dolce Vita‹, to
glossies like ›Elle‹ and ›Vanity‹. The multimedia artist uses all
channels to communicate his art: Swatch Street Art Painting (1984);
since 1985 laminate designs for Sottsass Associati; Multivision
Audiovisual Aid for Olivetti (1987); the design of TV-guides for Italian
television (1988); several Swatch watches (1991/92) and Philips Fantasy
World (1993). All this in addition to his exhibitions at galeries and
fairs and of course his comic strips, not to mention his showroom
designs. He's currently working with Alessi, Artemide and Olivetti. And
he paints in the antechambre of heaven – not the Vatican, but frescoes
on the ceilings of Milan Airport. He has created his Milk-Design with
passion. As you can see.
